Fern Lartz

Fern B. Lartz, age 94, residing at Shores of Sheboygan, passed peacefully at her residence on May 28, 2018. Fern was born on March 29, 1924 in Green Bay, the daughter of the late Alfred and Ella Martin Chapman. She attended and graduated from Green Bay schools.
On November 17, 1945 Fern was united in marriage to Walter P. Lartz at the West Moravian Church in Green Bay. The Bishop Clement Haler officiated in the marriage ceremony.
Fern and Walter moved to Sheboygan in 1948 where Walter and she raised a family and spent 64 years together in marriage until Walter's passing on December 7, 2009.
Fern and Walter were members of Fountain Park United Methodist Church. Fern was active in the Methodist Women's Circle, Red Cross Volunteers and Christian Women's Club.
Fern enjoyed traveling, quilting and serving where needed. She was Secretary at Horace Mann and Pigeon River schools in Sheboygan until her retirement in 1986.
Fern is survived by two children, Linda (Brian) Justin-Sheboygan and Geoll Lartz-Bolingbrook, Illinois, as well as a sister, Nina (Art) VanEss-Green Bay.
She was preceded in death by Husband, Walter, and sisters, Margaret Patzke and Shirley Wendorf, and Dorothy Chapman, as well as brothers- in- law Myron Patzke, Norbert Wendorf and Art Van Ess.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan, with visitation from 11:00am until services at 12:00pm officiated by Warren Waddell, Pastor of Fountain Park United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Fern's name at Fountain Park United Methodist Church. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
