Florence Lloyd

Florence G. Lloyd, age 88, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. Florence was born on May 10, 1927 in Sheboygan to John and Kate Hartman. Florence attended Kohler Grade School and Kohler High School. On June 2, 1947 she was united in marriage to Lowell Lloyd. He preceded her in death in May of 1985.
For many years Florence worked as a cashier at the Unimart on Indiana Avenue where she was affectionately known as Grandma Flo.
She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary Post #9156. Family gatherings were of the greatest importance to Florence and she was known as the Pajama Grandma. Over the years she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, playing cards, watching the Milwaukee Brewers, and putzing in her little garden.
Florence is survived by her daughter Kaye (Fritz) Beck; her son, Patrick Lloyd ; two grandchildren, Shelly (Larry) Weidig and Terry (Kim) Beeck; three great-grandchildren, Hope Beeck, Kaytlyn Weidig, and Jacob Weidig; and other relatives and friends, including her best buddy, Schatzie.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Lloyd; her granddaughter, Wendy Beeck; and her brothers, Theodore and Arthur Hartman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor Chris McKnight officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. A time of visitation and support will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
