Francis W. Klingeisen, 80, of Howards Grove, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his home. Francis was born June 23, 1934 in Manitowoc to August Klingeisen and Alma Schnettler. Francis attended Manitowoc Grade Schools and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1952. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. Francis was previously married to Elaine Labitzky on October 23, 1954. She preceded him in death on January 6, 1997. On September 23, 2000 Francis and Betty Meyer were united in marriage at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Francis was employed at the Kohler Manufacturing Company as an engine specialist until his retirement in 1996. He was an honorary member of Smerkes Sportmens Club Inc. in Sheboygan Falls and also started a snowmobile business in Sheboygan in the late 60's. Francis enjoyed his vacation home in Door County and working on small engines. Francis was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Howards Grove and former member of Salem Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. In addition to his loving wife, Betty, he is survived by his son, Daniel Klingeisen of Sturgeon Bay; his daughter, Nancy (Ken) Bouche of Forestville; six step- children, Steve (Barb) Schnuelle of Appleton, Jerry (Debbie) Schnuelle of Sheboygan, Carol (David) Diehl of Sheboygan, David (Diana) Schnuelle of Sheboygan, James (Tessa) Schnuelle of Sheboygan, and JoAnn (Ron) Mullens of Waldo; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; a sister; two brothers; and many other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 30, 2014at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan. Rev. Tom Unke, Pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Howards Grove will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held following the service until 7:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Francis's family extends a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bettag, Dr. Coulis, Dr. Marsho, and the EMTs for the care and compassion shown to him. Francis will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and warm smile.
