Francis Wolfert

Francis Wolfert, 78, of Sheboygan, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at home. Francis was born May 11, 1935 in Sheboygan to the late Frank and Crescentia (Stalter) Wolfert. He worked as a commercial fisherman with his father, Frank. He served his country in the United States Army. On July 27, 1957 he married the former Irma Fink. For 25 years, he was employed by Scotty Smith and Sons and then Joe Schmidt and Sons. He was also a member of the Local 139 Operating Engineers as a crane operator. Francis also owned and operated Frank's Campground for 29 years, with his wife and children. He made many lifelong friends at the campground. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife of 55 years, Irma, he is survived by two sons, Mark Wolfert and Randy Wolfert; two daughters, Wendy (Fiance Don Tuczynski) Wolfert and Ronda (Scott) Hendricks; three grandchildren, Bradley Wolfert, Brandon Hernandez and Paige Wolfert; one great grandchild, Addison Eirich; one brother, Thomas (Cindy) Wolfert. In addition to his parent, he was preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Wolfert, three brothers, Richard Wolfert, John Wolfert and Donald Wolfert and one sister, Mary Gorr. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) with Deacon Michael Burch officiating.
