Frederic Jung

Frederic Charles Jung, a descendent of an early and prominent Sheboygan family, joined his parents, Jacob Nelson and Doris (Zehms) Jung in death after recently passing away at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI. "Fred" was born in Sheboygan, WI on April 18, 1944. He graduated from North High School, attended college, and then joined his father at the Jacob Jung Company (Interior Decorators) where he worked in the family business until his father's death. Fred always had a great passion to help others, and in later years pursued a career as a caregiver and companion aid to the elderly. While living in Sheboygan, he cared for several prominent members of the community, and then went on to take wonderful care of his mother until her death in 2007. Fred loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. During his youth he played the guitar, was active in high school musicals, and was a member of the choir at Grace Episcopal Church in Sheboygan. During his life, Fred enjoyed attending musical events that featured all types of music, including the opera. Fred also loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors. His fondest memories were of family gatherings and picnics, and spending the summer months at Crystal Lake where he enjoyed fishing, swimming, sailing, boating, and water-skiing. In recent years, Fred resided in Fond du Lac, WI where he enjoyed fishing from the shores of Lake Winnebago and walking in Lakeside Park with family and his dear companion, Alice Cornett. Fred was beloved for his kind, generous, and compassionate spirit, and will be fondly remembered by friends, relatives, and a special family friend, Toni Becker. He is survived by his brother Jacob N. Jung, Jr. of Fond du Lac, and sister, Marjorie D. Jung of Bristol, CT. A private service and burial was held in Sheboygan on June 20, 2015.
