George Harrison

George Harrison, 88, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. George was born March 13, 1926 in Sheboygan to James and Dorothy (Pondikas) Harrison. He attended local schools and completed an apprenticeship as a printer. He enjoyed many years in the printing business until his retirement. George proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. On January 13, 1951, George and Carol Mae Kaminsky were united in marriage at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church. George was an avid fisherman, particularly for white bass in the spring. Together, he and Carol liked to travel, especially to visit family. In addition to his wife, Carol, George is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Steven) Redding of Traverse City, MI; brother-in-law, Edward L. Kaminsky Jr.; sister-in-law, Shirley Kaminsky; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lou (William) Schmidt, Viola (Robert) Smith, Helen (Chris) Georges, John (Katina) Harrison, James (Dolly) Harrison; brother-in-law, LeRoy Kaminsky; and sister-in-law Carol Kaminsky. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory. Rev. Fr. Michael T. Stearns, of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Chapels from 9:00 am until the time of service.
