Georgia Ryan

Georgia G. Ryan,89, of Sheboygan, passed away at her home on Friday, March 4, 2022.  She was born September 19, 1932, in Menomonee, MI to the late George and Ruth (Thyne) Ryan.  She attended Sheboygan Area Schools.

Georgia worked at the H.C Prange Co. for 18 years and at Shopko for 16 years, retiring in 2001.

Georgia was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.  She was the Past President of the Sheboygan Business of Professional Women’s Club. Georgia loved to work with her hands and when she put her mind to getting something done, she made sure she did it right.  For example, remodeling their homes with her sister Beverly.  Georgia loved to travel, she was proud of her Irish heritage and was able to take a trip to Ireland.

Georgia is survived by her nieces and nephews; Paula (Ron) Stoppler, Steve (Cindy) Conto, Steven Borgardt, Linda (Lyle) Pierce and Cathy Conto, four great nieces, two great nephews, seven great great nieces, three great great nephews, and one great great great niece.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Beryl Conto and Beverly Borgardt, and nephew James Conto.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Fr. Norberto Sandoval officiating.  Burial will take place on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 12Noon at Forest Home Cemetery in Marinette. If you are unable to join the family for the service, it will be livestreamed on her obituary page on the funeral home website.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
