Gwendolyn J. Olsen

Gwendolyn J. Olsen, 86, of Grafton, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton. She was born in Sheboygan on March 2, 1938, to the late Osborn and Bertha (Fostveit) Olsen. She graduated from Central High School, class of 1956. 

Gwendolyn enjoyed shopping, dining out, traveling and spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved making many cherished memories. Her warmth, humor and sparkling personality will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Gwendolyn is survived by her children, Michael (Gail) Messner, Laura Messner, Ramona (Steve) Phillips and Beth Messner; grandchildren, Ryan (Cristin) Messner, Tyler (fiancé Kate) Messner, Joshua Turczyn, Joseph Turczyn and Rachel Phillips; great-grandchildren, Spencer, Penelope and Michael Messner; a brother, Thomas Olsen; a sister-in-law, Arlene Olsen; a son-in-law, Scott Turczyn; nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Along with her parents, Gwendolyn was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Turczyn and a brother, Willis Olsen.

 A Funeral Service for Gwendolyn will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave. in Sheboygan with Pastor Timothy Mech officiating. Family will greet visitors AT CHURCH on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Gwendolyn will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gwendolyn’s name can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
