Herbert Sorensen

Herbert "Herb" E. Sorensen, 69, of Plymouth, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Aurora Grafton Medical Center. He was born May 7, 1951 in Sault Sainte Marie, MI to Albert Jr. and Irmatrude (Cavanaugh) Sorensen. Herb graduated from South High School in Sheboygan with the Class of 1969 and received his bachelor's degree from UW Steven Point in 1973.
Herb retired from Aldrich Chemical. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, and hunting pheasant and deer. He was an active member of the Sheboygan County Conservation Club, the Sheboygan County Pheasant & Habitat Program, and Smerke's and Johnsonville Sportsman Clubs.
Herb also like to trap shoot, go to the Hodag Music Festival and smoke different meats and fish.
His family and friends were important to him, he loved to spend time with them creating lasting memories.
Herb is survived by his loving companion of 23 years Sue Mengel, his daughters, Heather (Jon Barthel) Lazo and Samantha (Chuck) Hart, grandchildren; Noah Rodriquez, Finn Young, Owen Lazo, and Jack Hart, brother Barry (Bonnie) Sorensen, mother of his daughters Jackie and good friend Allen Fritsch. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Albert Sorensen III and sister Cynthia Sorensen.
A Celebration of Herb's Life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Smerke's Sportsman Club, W2699 Cty Rd. J, Sheboygan Falls 53085.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Herb's name.
