Irene Wehrwein

Irene M. Wehrwein, 90, of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. Nicholas Hospital. Irene was born on October 18, 1925, in Cleveland, WI, to the late Alois and Mary (Schmitt) Scherhaufer. She attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1943. Irene married Henry Wehrwein in Sheboygan. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1981. She was employed at the BM Cafeteria, Sears Company and then sold Avon for over 15 years. Irene was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish.
Irene is survived by two sons, Gerald Gary (Mary) Wehrwein, Plano, TX and David Wehrwein, Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Michelle Wehrwein, McKinney, TX and Christopher (Rachael) Wehrwein, Little Elm, TX and two great-grandchildren, Braden and Kaylee. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Henry, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Scherhaufer and four sisters, Marcella (Ewald) Guske, Veronica (Robert) Margenau, Eleanora (Felix) Griksas and Lorraine (Earl) Rydberg.
A memorial service for Irene will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Zimmers Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 JJ, Howards Grove) with the Rev.
