Isabelle Frank

Isabelle A. Frank, age 94, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully at home in Grafton where she resided for the past eight years, on Sunday morning, August 6, 2017. She was born February 3, 1923 in Marquette, Michigan to Clovis and Anna Mae (Manning) Fortin. On January 17, 1941 Isabelle was united in marriage to Oakley O. Frank, former Chief of Police, in Sheboygan. Celebrating 51 years together, they embraced a full active social life. They enjoyed traveling, playing golf, bowling, playing cards, and were active members of the Sheboygan Elks Lodge #299. Oakley preceded her in death on October 11, 1992.

While living in Sheboygan, Isabelle was employed as a cashier at Piggly Wiggly. Following retirement, she spent a lot of enjoyable years with her many friends and family. Isabelle had a great sense of humor, enjoyed card playing and was an avid reader. In her later years, she became quite the cat lover, sharing a very special bond with her Oliver.

Isabelle is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ann Kracht of Lomira, WI and Susan Mae Taylor (David Strohbusch) of Grafton, WI; and two grandchildren, Henry Alan Kracht and Katharine Ann Taylor, niece Janice Widra, and very special friend Beth Williams.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Hazel Menzer, and her son-in-law Henry Kracht, as well as many other relatives and dear life-long friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 16th to celebrate Isabelle's life at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels and Cremation Care Center. Pastor Jonathan Strohbusch will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1 pm until 3 pm, the time of service.

Entombment will take place at Garden Terrace Mausoleum.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Isabelle's wonderful caregivers, Debbie and Jessica (her angels), the incredible staff of Serenity Hospice, and Dr. Tracey Geiger for bringing joy and peace to her during her last months with us.

Momma, Daddy has waited a long time for you and now you are back in his arms, at home with him and our Lord.
