Jacqueline Zastrow

Jacqueline “Jackie” J. Zastrow, age 84, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 6, 2021.  She was born in Sheboygan to the late Alex and Fern (Wieck) Schmidt on November 11, 1937.  She attended local schools and graduated from North High School in 1956.  Jackie enjoyed keeping in touch with several of her high school classmates.

On May 17, 1957, Jackie was united in marriage to Wilmer Zastrow Jr. at St. John Lutheran Church in Cleveland.  He preceded her in death on October 11, 2014.  Jackie was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, cooking, shopping and reading.

Jackie is survived by her children, Michael (Pamela) Zastrow Sr. and Marilee (Russell) Guenther; grandchildren, Michael Zastrow Jr. (Corey Ballestero) and Lisa (Matt) Locke; great-grandchildren, Presley and Cash Ballestero and Elliot Locke; siblings, Randall (Marion) Schmidt and Gloria Walczak; nieces, nephews other friends and family.

Along with her parents and husband, Jackie was preceded in death by a brother Jerome Schmidt; brothers-in-law Orlin Fredrick and William Walczak.

A Funeral Service for Jackie will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8th St., with Pastor Voigt from Calvary Lutheran Church Officiating.  Family will greet visitors on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.  The family is recommending masks be worn by those attending the visitation and service.  Jackie will be laid to rest next to Wilmer at Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jackie's name.

The family would like to thank Jackie's faithful helper over the last 8 years, Scott Joyal, who has helped her when she needed things done around the house.  Mom enjoyed your companionship and was thankful for you.
