James Fulton Brown

James Fulton Brown, age 79, passed away on February 4, 2025 at his home in Chicago. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on March 28, 1945, to the late Robert and Harriet (Allman) Brown. He graduated from Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati in 1963 and from Northwestern University in 1967.

After college, Jim made Chicago his home and became an avid Bear and Cubs fan. Jim led a long career in the packaging industry, retiring from Chicago Packaging in 2009.

Jim enjoyed spending time with his nephew’s family in Lake Tahoe, CA, and visiting family in Sheboygan.

James is survived by nephew Eric Brown, his wife Sarah and their children Landon, Kennedy, Gage and Hailey, sister-in-law Michele Brown, many loving cousins and dear friends Ed and Mary Ellen Whalen, Stephen Blocksom, Keith and Barbara Johnson.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother Robert Scott Brown.

Donations may be made to Northwestern University.

Jim will be laid to rest in Sheboygan at Wildwood Cemetery next to his parents. A private graveside service will be held in early April.
