James F. Polster, 77, of 1520 N. Ave, Cleveland, went home to eternal life on August 27, 2013, surrounded by his family at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls after a battle with cancer. Jim was born November 29, 1935 in Stockbridge, son of the late Louis and Katherine (Schuler) Polster. He attended Elkhart Lake High School and years later received his GED from LTC in Cleveland. On November 3, 1956 he married Loanne Kautzer at Holy Trinity in School Hill. Jim had 4 years in the National Guard and worked at Kohler Company for 44 years, retiring in 1995. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, gardening, was a huge Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan. He was a former member of the Cleveland Sno-Hawks and Cleveland Lions. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Loanne, one daughter and two sons, Deborah (Polster) and Daniel Ciha, Kiel, Randall and Mary (Johnson) Polster, Sheboygan, Mark Polster, Kiel; one sister, three brothers and five sisters-in-law, Kathleen Otto, Kiel, Gordon and Serena Polster, New Holstein, Henry and Joyce Polster, Kiel, Clarence and Barbara Polster, Sheboygan Falls, Janet Polster, Kiel, Yvonne Polster, Mukwonago; two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, Ronald and Lois Kautzer, Malone, Robert and Jean Kautzer, Cato, his mother-in-law, Helen Kautzer, Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Whitney Polster, Sage Lang, Dustin Polster, Chelsea Lang and Blake Polster; two great-grandchildren, Nataly and Emerson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, two nephews and his father-in-law, Edward Kautzer. A memorial service will be held for Jim on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) with Rev. William Kesting officiating. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Committal will follow at the St. Thomas Aquinas North Cemetery.
