Janet D. Limberg, 89, of Sheboygan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Pine Haven Christian Home. Janet was born March 20, 1925 in Plymouth, WI to Fred and Norma (Albrecht) Raeder. She attended Sheboygan area grade schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, class of 1943. Janet was employed with Kohler Mfg. in the factory after high school. She later passed her real estate agent license test resulting in her becoming the first woman real estate agent in the Sheboygan area in the 60's. She successfully ran her own real estate business under the name, Janet Limberg Realty, until her retirement in 1969. Janet loved attending church services at Praise Fellowship and St. Luke United Methodist Church, watching the Green Bay Packers, eating Sheboygan Brats, and fellowshipping at the Texas Roadhouse after church. She was a photographer in her younger years for which she received numerous awards. Janet will best be remembered for being an avid oil painter of landscapes up until a year ago. She especially had a love for animals including her two cats, Missy and Zoey, and all of her past dogs. Janet is survived by her Daughter-in-Law, Bonnie Limberg, wife of the late Allen Limberg; her sister, Joyce Kaderabek, both of Sheboygan; three grandchildren, Amanda Limberg- Judkins, Matthew (Miranda) Limberg, Christopher (Katie) Limberg; two great-granddaughters, Alexis Judkins and Mary Rose Limberg, all of Michigan; special friends, Alan Kocourek, April (Ryan) Prue and their daughter, Olivia Prue, all of Sheboygan area; many other relatives and close friends; and her beloved cat, Missy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sons, Brian and Allen Limberg; three brothers, Clarence, Fred, and Lorenz Raeder; and one sister, Nancy Raeder. A celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Zimmer Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, Sheboygan, WI. Pastor Aaron Herman of Praise Fellowship will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice. Janet's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers at Pine Haven Christian Home and Aurora VNA Hospice for the care and compassion shown to her during her brief stay.
