Janet Schramm

Janet L. Schramm, 74, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at home after a year long illness. Janet was born May 27, 1940 in Sheboygan, to the late Walter and Edna (Gerber) Moehring. She attended Trinity Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1958. After high school, she worked as a book keeper at various businesses. On October 20, 1962 she married Michael Schramm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church before joining St. Mark Lutheran Church. Janet enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, taking driving trips and exploring the back roads, cooking and keeping her family well fed, tailoring and working as a seamstress. She was a true farmer's daughter. In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Scott M. (Mara) Schramm and Geoffrey E. (Lisa) Schramm; two grandsons, Benjamin and Nathan; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Limberg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jennifer Ann and one brother, Richard Moehring. A funeral service for Janet will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church (1019 N. 7th Street, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Brett Matz officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, at the church, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
