Janice D. (Ehlers) Sauger, age 80 of Sheboygan, WI, went to eternal peace Wednesday, July 17, 2013. She passed away at home with her loving husband and family at her side. Born on July 24, 1932 in Door County, WI to Harold and Pauline (Anschutz) Ehlers, and graduated at Sevastopol High School. On Christmas Day, 1951, Janice was united in marriage to Robert F. Sauger at St. John's Lutheran Church in Valmy, WI. Jan was an accomplished bowler having rolled a 715 series in 1995, and was inducted into the Sheboygan Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2001. She continued her passion by teaching Junior Bowling Leagues at Klemme's Lanes for 25 years. A 46 year member of Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church, Sheboygan, serving as Church Secretary and Sunday School teacher. She was also involved with Altar Guild , Ladies Aid, and most recently a member of the Bell Choir. Janice is survived by her loving husband and three children, Valerie (Mark) Zeier, Robert (Mary) Sauger, Jr., and Cynthia (Mark) Brown, six grandchildren, Matthew (Daniela) Erbstoesser, Joshua Utech (special friend Michelle), Ian Utech, James (Chris) Brown, Audra (Andrew) Kundinger, and Joseph Brown. Sister Virginia (Skip) Wick, sister-in-law Diann Ehlers, nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents, parents-in-law, Frank and Amelia Sauger, brother Daniel Ehlers, sister-in-laws Eleanor (Everal) Pelton, Agnes (Wilbert) Bertschinger, and Dolores (George) Hinton. Honoring and respecting Janice's wishes, a private family service was held at Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church, Pastor Timothy Kuske officiated. Entombment followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family would like to thank Dr. Matthews, Sharon Richardson Home Hospice, nurse Anne, and the neighbors of many years for their expressions of love and support for our family.
