Jeanette Kuhlow

Jeanette L. Kuhlow, 80, of Howards Grove, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. She was born May 21, 1935 at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, daughter of the late Herbert and Louise (Loppnow) Hinz.
Jeanette attended Haven Grade School and graduated from Howards Grove High School in 1953. She graduated from Sheboygan County Normal Teachers College and University of Oshkosh. Jeanette taught school for several years in Johnsonville and Millersville School.
On November 10, 1956, she married Willard Kuhlow at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. The couple lived in Howards Grove since 1956.
Jeanette also was a substitute teacher for many years. She worked at Sheboygan Medical Center for 17 years in the Diet Office and Nourishment Center, preparing special diets.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church all her life in which she taught Sunday school for 30 years. She was the superintendent for several years, taught Vacation Bible School, sewed quilts for World Relief and was president of the Ladies Aid for many years. Jeanette was also active in 4-H for several years. Jeanette was a willing volunteer at Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Bethesda Thrift Store, Rocky Knoll, the Sheboygan County Quilters Guild, where she was a charter member, Friendship Quilters, where she was a charter member, the VFW Auxiliary 9924 as the president and charter member of 5612 Plymouth.
Survivors include her husband, Willard, daughters, Renee (Joe) Brotz, Sheboygan and Rachel (Dean) Bramstedt of Cleveland; son Aaron (Kathleen) Kuhlow, Howards Grove; five grandchildren, Adam (Tana) and Sarah Kuhlow, Samuel (Danielle), Luke (Megan) and Anna Bramstedt; 1 great grandchild, Claire; one sister, Betty Wippermann, Osman. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Wallace Wippermann, several aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service for Jeanette will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (2776 State Highway 32, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Darrel Bergelin officiating. Friends may call on Friday, January 15, at Trinity Church from 3:00 p.m. until 6 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church, on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Improvement Fund in Jeanettes name.
