Jean "Kim" Fengler

July 25, 1954 — April 22, 2021

Jean “Kim” Fengler, 66, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 following a long battle with health conditions at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.  She was born July 25, 1954 in Sheboygan to the late John and Jeanne (De Lorme) Fengler.  Kim graduated from Sheboygan North High School with the Class of 1972.  She went on to graduate from Concordia University in 1977 as a Court Stenographer.  Kim worked in the Appleton and Milwaukee court systems for 20 years.  Kim had a passion for learning and education. She went back to UW Milwaukee and received her BA in Art History, then continued on to receive her master’s degree in library and Information Science from Dominican University in River Forest, IL.

Kim loved the Arts, from textiles to archeology.  She enjoyed beading and needlepoint.  She loved spending time at museums and with her father whom she shared many of the same interests.  Their bond was truly unbreakable, and she treasured those memories created with him.

Kim is survived by two sisters, Katherine (James) Hermann of Fort Myers, FL and Amy (William) Betke of Howards Grove, three nephews: Michael (Lori) Hermann, David (Karre) Hermann and Robert (Melissa) Betke, and by her niece Elizabeth Betke.  Kim was preceded in death by her parents.

A Private Family Service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating.  Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery.
