Jeanne S. Herm, 88, went home to the Lord on September 16, 2016. Jeanne was born June 16, 1928 in Sheboygan to parents Erwin and Malitta (Bennin) Haack. She graduated from Central High School in 1946. After high school, she worked for the Sheboygan Press. On July 14, 1951 she was united in marriage to Steve Herm. During her life she was a member of The Elks Club, Junior Woman's Club, Jaycettes and People to People. She was a talented violinist and played with the Sheboygan Symphony for 64 years. Jeanne and Steve were able to meet German relatives while on a European tour with the Sheboygan Symphony. This connection sparked many family trips to Europe. Jeanne was an avid bridge player and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family playing cards. Jeanne was a very caring and loving person and cherished her immediate family and grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Steve; three daughters, Pat Herm of Minnetonka, MN, Julie (Rick) Warner of Hartford, WI, and Susan (Andy) Bukowski of Golden Valley, MN and one son Bob Herm of New York, NY; five grandchildren, Katie, Sara, Emilie, Danny, Laura (Colby) Coates and great-grandson Colton. Jeanne is also survived by her brother Donald Haack. She is preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Jane. Funeral service to celebrate Jeanne's life will be held at First United Lutheran Church, 2401 Kohler Memorial Dr., on Thursday, September 22, at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at the church at 9:30 AM. Reception for those attending to follow the service. Private committal at Wildwood Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the Sheboygan Symphony.
