Jeanne Schneider

Jeanne E. Schneider, 84, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Morningside Healthcare Center. Jeanne was born November 9, 1932 to Orville William Steibel and Ruth May (Stacker) Steibel in Kiel. She graduated from Kiel High School in 1950. On June 15, 1949 Jeanne Steibel and Ronald Schneider were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church in Kiel. Later they moved to Sheboygan to raise their family. Jeanne retired from St. Nicholas Hospital as a Dietary Aide after several years of service. She also was a Sunday school teacher at Sheboygan County Baptist Church for many years. Ronald preceded her in death on February 24, 2005. Jeanne enjoyed camping, bingo and the family pets. She had an admiration for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to listen to old hymns and would sometimes play them on the piano. Jeanne always looked on the bright side, not much for complaining, she would try to see the best in every situation. Jeanne is survived by her sister Coralie Hildebrandt; her children David (Regina) Schneider and Susan Schneider; grandchildren Christine Buchholz, Tracey (Nate) Semsch, Amanda (Mark) Meyer, Michael Schneider, Laura (Stephen) Stahmann and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ronald, she was preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Schneider. A funeral service for Jeanne will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory (1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Herman Hass officiating. Friends may call on Friday, at the funeral home, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Kiel. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at Morningside Healthcare Center where Jeanne resided for the past 5 years.
