Jerry R. Liesner, 78, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Morningside Health Center following a lengthy illness. Born on July 26,1935 in the Town of Hartland, he was the son of the late John and Ida (Heller) Liesner, Sr. Jerry attended Bonduel High School and worked on the family farm. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Jerry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Sheboygan, WI. On March 19, 1983 Jerry was united in marriage to Marion Hein at Trinity Lutheran Church. Marion preceded him in death on August 29, 2011. Jerry was employed at Kohler Company for many years retiring in 1998. Following his retirement Jerry enjoyed many years working at Kohler Terry Andrae State Park. He enjoyed the outdoors. He took great pride in maintaining his yard. Jerry is survived by his stepdaughter, Karen (Terry) Boeldt of Howards Grove, three stepsons, Daniel (Susan) Hein, David (Patty) Hein, Mark Hein all of Sheboygan, his stepdaughter Tamar (Mark) Reinbold and his son Patrick (Maria) Liesner of Sheboygan. He is further survived by four siblings, Adele Nordwig of Tomah, Etta Ninman of Shawano, Nora (William) Klinger of Flippin, Ark., LeRoy Liesner of Bonduel and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother John and sister inlaw JoAnn Liesner, sister inlaw Jacqueline Liesner, brother inlaws Harry Nordwig and Arthur Ninman, stepson Randi Hein, and grandson Adam Liesner. A Funeral Service will be conducted for Jerry on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Avenue in Sheboygan. Reverend Timothy Mech, Pastor, will officiate. Interment and military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Jerry R. Liesner. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Morningside Health Center. The care and compassion you have shown to Jerry is very much appreciated. Thank you to our stepfather Jerry for the love and kindness you showed to all of us including our mom. What a wonderful man you were. We love you and will miss you.
