Jerry Loersch

Jerry G. Loersch, 78, of Howards Grove, went to meet his Savior in heaven after a brief illness on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at MeadowView Manor. Jerry was born in Sheboygan on June 24, 1934, to the late Gilbert and Gladys (Stokdyk) Loersch. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1953. Jerry served his country briefly in the United States Army. On July 12, 1958, he married the former Patricia Sprenger. Jerry was employed by the Kohler Company for his entire working career, retiring after almost 40 years. He was an avid sports fan of the Brewers, Packers, Bucks, and Badgers. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Patricia, he is survived by four children: Cheryl (Robert) Streckert, of Lakeville, MN and their children, Laura (Jason) Folger, Jonathan, and Lisa Streckert; Kevin (Bonnie) Loersch, of Watertown and their children, Nathan (fiance Rebecca Engelbrecht), Elizabeth, Seth, Hope, and Josiah Loersch; Lori (Kyle) Dahlke, of Glenrock, WY and their children, Hannah, Bailey (son, Cayden) and Max; Mark (Lisa) Loersch, of Onalaska and their children, Ella, Bennett, and Isaiah Loersch; brother-in-law Steve (Kathy) Sprenger and sister-in-law Sharon (Dr. James) Gutenberger; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. A Service of Christian Funeral for Jerry will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 3:30 PM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church (441 Millersville Avenue, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Unke and Vicar Buch officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 1:30 PM until the time of service. Interment will be in the St. Paul's Cemetery on Monday, June 24th at 10:00 AM Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Manitowoc Lutheran High School, or WELS World Missions.
