Joan C. Siebeling-Otten, 86, of Dallas, Texas and formerly of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas surrounded by family. She was born on May 8, 1938 to the late Daniel and Cora (Blok) Van De Wege. Joan attended Sheboygan Christian School and graduated from Sheboygan North High School. Joan furthered her education at Louisiana State University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in December 1982.
Joan was united in marriage to Ronald Siebeling in 1959 in Sheboygan. They celebrated 42 years together before Ron’s death on September 14, 2002. During her 40 plus years in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Joan was a devoted wife, mother and a certified public accountant (CPA) with Postlethwaite and Netterville where she retired in 2003. In 2005, Joan married Roland Otten of Sheboygan. Joan and Rollie spent time in both Sheboygan and Baton Rouge. Joan enjoyed knitting, walking, her many bible studies, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her son John (Leslie) Siebeling; three daughters, Penny (Chuck) Lalanne, Patty Siebeling and Kathleen Bloodworth; five grandchildren, Zack Lalanne, Jacob Lalanne, Sarah Lalanne, Mark Siebeling and Anna Siebeling; two great-grandchildren Wesley and Caden; and other relatives including the extended Otten family who Joan was very close with and many friends including her dear friend Glenn Jasperse of Sheboygan Wisconsin.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands Ronald Siebeling and Roland Otten, her parents, Daniel and Cora Van de Wege and two sisters Doris Buteyn and Kathy Van De Wege.
A memorial service for Joan is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at Christ Community Church, 428 Geele Ave., Sheboygan, WI 53083. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association or The American Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank the staff of T. Boone Pickens Hospice Center for the care she recieved in her final days.
