John Kalk

John E. Kalk, age 64, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his home. He was born February 15, 1953 to the late Elmer and Ruth Kalk. John graduated from Plymouth High School in 1971 where he played basketball. Following his graduation, he married Lori Steinhardt, and began working at Kohler Company as an enamler. He remained with Kohler his entire 40+ year career and was a proud member of their quarter century club. John enjoyed coaching and watching his children as they played basketball, baseball and softball growing up. Later in life, he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed golfing and attending Green Bay Packer, Milwaukee Brewer and U.W. Badger games.

John is survived by his four children: Amy (Jason) Ramminger of West Allis, John (Sarah) Kalk of Appleton, Melissa (Jason) Messner of Green Bay, Kevin Kalk of Sheboygan; five grandchildren: Patrick and Kayla Ramminger, Ava and Maxwell Kalk, and Hannah Kalk; one sibling, Sharon (Dennis) Haberkorn of Sun Prairie.
John was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Memorial Service will follow at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are appreciated, which will then be donated to a local charity in John's honor.
