John Stuckel

John E. Stuckel, age 86, of Sheboygan, formerly of Normal, IL passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.

John was born in Bloomington, IL, on October 24, 1932 to the late Ralph and Mae (Klopp) Stuckel. He attended Spaulding High School in Peoria, IL and Bradley University, graduating in 1955 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting. He was united in marriage to Maryann Beckfeld on July 16, 1955. John served his country as an officer in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to1960 and continued serving in the Navy Reserve retiring with the rank of Commander. John was employed for 32 years at the Eureka Company in Bloomington, IL.

John is survived by his wife Maryann; his sons Mark (Jennifer) of McHenry, IL, Matt (Shannon) of Hudson IL; daughters Anne (Lee Koutsky) Stuckel of Chicago, IL, and Meg (Bill) Trager of Sheboygan, WI.; grandchildren, Joe, Scott (Krissy), Ben, Andrew, Anne Marie, Sam, Jack, and Joe (Amber) , and four great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter Marisue Stuckel.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January, 26, 2019 at Holy Name Of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Matthew Widder officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00pm until time of service. John will be laid to rest at a private service on February 2, 2019 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Normal, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials in John's name to be given to St. Nicholas Hospital Foundation or Holy Name of Jesus Church.

John was a devoted, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He also enjoyed golfing with his golf buddies in his younger years. John was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club. Before moving to Sheboygan, John and Maryann were long time members of Epiphany Catholic Church in Normal, IL.
