Joseph Kaboord

September 22, 1935 — April 25, 2015

Joseph C. Kaboord, 79, of Sheboygan, went home to his Savior on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice after a brief illness. Joseph was born on September 22, 1935 in Sheboygan to the late Martin and Lorriane Kaboord. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1955. On May 23, 1959, he married the former Marlyn Kaems at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2014. Joe was employed by the Sheboygan Public School System for over 40 years, with the majority of those years being spent at Wilson Elementary. He was a faithful member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Joe took great pride in taking care of yard and his house. He was an attentive and caring grandfather to his four grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Wayne (Barbara) Kaboord of Oregon, WI and Penny (Roger) Brotz of Franklin, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jacob Kaboord, Jenna Brotz, Morgan Brotz, and Holly Kaboord; one brother, Jerry (Judy) Kaboord of Sheboygan; sisters-in-law, Sharon Kaboord of Kohler and Linda Kaboord of Sheboygan Falls. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory (1201 S. 8th Street, Sheboygan). A time of visitation and support will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery. Joe's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, Sheboygan Progressive Care Center and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their kindness and care. Joe will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
