Joseph Quiery

February 15, 1926 — July 26, 2015

Joseph P. Quiery, age 89, went home to his Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2015 surrounded by his family at home. He was the son of Robert and Agnes (Ireland) Quiery. He was raised in Brooklyn, NY then Flushing, NY. Joseph worked in Construction then went on at Canada Dry as a trucker and a member of the Teamster Union. He loved fine clothes, good food, hunting, and fishing, the racetrack and a good scotch. Dad always loved colorful paintings and was an avid collector of hummels fine art. He thoroughly enjoyed garage sales and always brought some kind of treasure home. He was an excellent gardener and took pride in his gardens. Joseph was previously married to Dorothy Potrzeba. They had a daughter, Debra Ann. He married again to Marilyn McShane and they resided in Tom's Rivers, NJ. Joseph moved to Wisconsin to be closer to his family. He lived for awhile at Lakeview Village. The manager there nicknamed him "Mayor of Lakeview" because he knew everyone and everyone knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Agnes Quiery, four brothers, Robert, Albert, Gerald and Patrick; his brother-law-law, Edward McKenna. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Richard "Rick" Molod, granddaughter, Desiree Klebbe, brother, Richard (Arlene) Quiery, sister, Dorothy McKenna; numerous nieces and nephews and his best buddy, his cat, "Bobcat". The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for their compassion and kindness during this difficult time. In honoring his wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Alzheimer's Association. I miss talking and laughing with you, Dad - Love U Always, Debbie.
