Judith A. Jaeckels (Kummer), 84, of Howards Grove, passed away peacefully May 20th surrounded by family at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Judith was born March 1, 1937 in Sheboygan, WI to Milton F. and Elizabeth (Reiss) Kummer.
Judy was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1956 and attended Stephens College in Columbia MO. On June 18, 1960 Judy and Norman J Jaeckels were united in marriage at St. Clements Catholic Church in Sheboygan.
Judy was a devout Catholic and devoted her life to her six children and 13 grandchildren. She will be remembered for her warm smile and sense of humor. She is survived by her children: Mary (Todd) Balciar and their children, Kristina and Madison of Mechanicsburg, PA, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Jaeckels and their children, Rebecca, Joseph (Caralee), and Nicholas of Madison, Joan (Kenneth) Neese and their children, Jacob and Jackson of Elkhart Lake, Lynn (Patrick) Hansen and their children, Henry and Emily of Menomonee Falls, James (Kari) Jaeckels and their children, Noreen and Elyse of Sheboygan Falls, and Thomas (Carlie) Jaeckels and their children, Adeline and August of Wauwatosa. She is also survived by her twin sister Elizabeth Kummer of Sheboygan, sister Catherine DeWitt, of Tucson, sister Anne Kummer-Wood (Darrel) of Tucson and brother Martin (Cindy) Kummer of Mequon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman Jaeckels. The family would like to thank Tender Hearts Home Care, all the Sharon S. Richardson staff, but especially her nurse Cariann and her aide Emily for their compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers the family asks to make memorials to either the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice or Immaculate Conception Parish.
A visitation at 9:00 am and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am Monday, May 24th will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
