June Cole

June Sonia Bartlett Fitzsimmons Cole, 93, of Sheboygan, formerly of Vero Beach, FL passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Sheboygan Senior Community Center. She was born July 14, 1923 in Medford, MA to Charles and Sonia (Svenson) Bartlett. June was united in marriage to Ervin Earl Fitzsimmons, he preceded her in death in 1968. She then was united in marriage to Harry Cole.
June retired from the Indian River County Clerk's office in Vero Beach, FL.
She was a member of the Women's Democratic Party in Vero Beach, FL, she enjoyed playing tennis, dancing, playing Bridge with her friends and traveling. Family was very important to her, she was always there for them when they needed her. Creating memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was always a favorite time of hers. June is survived by her daughters; Nancy (Donald) McAdams, Kathy Lester, and Susan (Nick) Scavo, by her grandchildren; Amy McAdams Gettings, Peter McAdams, Erin (Jason) Ledermann, Davin (Valerie) Lester, Sean Grimes, and James (Kristina) Grimes, by great-grandchildren; Doolin and Evelyn Gettings, Ian, Elsa, Saul, and Henry Ledermann, and Lillian Grimes, sisters, Barbara (Ted) Gates and Karen Stanford, brother Charles Bartlett, she is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Ervin and Harry, brother John Bartlett, sister-in-law Beverly Bartlett, and brother-in-law JC Stanford.
A celebration of June's life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at Sheboygan Senior Community, 3503 Cty Rd. Y Sheboygan, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. A committal service will be held at a later date at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers a memorial may be made to Sheboygan Senior Community in June's name.
