June A. Mominee

June Ann Mominee (prior married name McNitt, maiden name Thill), 88, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.

June was born June 20, 1935, in Port Washington to the late Ambrose and Bernice (Tillman) Thill. After high school, June married and accompanied her husband to the state of Washington and later to Texas while he served in the US Army. After, she returned to Wisconsin where she enjoyed being a homemaker, wife, and raising her five children.

June is survived by her three daughters, Debra A. McNitt (Thomas Jefferson), Jo A (Richard) Montemayor, and Peggie McNitt Medina; five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Bernice (Arthur) Jentsch, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, June was preceded in death by her two sons, Michael and Timothy McNitt, granddaughter Candace Jefferson, sister Annette (Michael) Plier, first husband, Truman McNitt, and second husband Terry Mominee.

A Memorial Mass for June will be held at NOON on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at St. Clement Catholic Church, 707 N 6^th St. in Sheboygan. Family will greet visitors on Wednesday at church from 11:00 AM until the time of mass.

The family wants to thank the staff at Sheboygan Health Services, St Nicholas Hospital of Sheboygan, St Vincent Hospital of Green Bay, and Ballhorn Chapels.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in June’s name.
