Karen L. Sobczak, age 63, of Sheboygan passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Sheboygan on March 21, 1955 to the late Edgar and Marion (Dallman) Kallenberg. She attended local schools and graduated from South High School. She was employed at Rockline Industries. On January 11, 1999 she married the love of her life Leon Sobczak in Sheboygan.
Karen enjoyed the outdoors, camping in St. Germain, riding her Harley, and spending time with her beloved pets. She was an amazing woman who instilled a great work ethic in her two daughters. Karen's grandchildren meant the world to her and anytime spent with them brought a smile to her face. She was a great wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her husband Leon; daughters, Lisa (David) Jansen and Jamie (Thomas) Balde; grandchildren, Samantha, Kirsten, Olivia "O-Lovia", Bode and Sophia; brother Kim Kallenberg; sisters, Kay Kallenberg and Karla (Donald) Roedersheimer and brothers-in-law, Victor (Sue) Sobczak and James Sobczak. Nieces, nephews, other friends and family further survive.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Laverne "Lovey".
Private services will be held at a later date. Karen will be laid to rest in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Karen's name.
The family would like to personally thank the staff at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic for all of your care and compassion shown to Karen.
