Kathleen M. Johnson age 78, passed away on Friday, January 08, 2016. She was born in Evanston, IL on September 30, 1937 to parents Ben and Undine (Scott) Moore. Kathy was a 1955 graduate from Senn High School, Chicago. She was united in marriage on May 25, 1957 to Ken Johnson. Kathy worked for many years in Sheboygan as a CNA for the Community Home Health organization.
Kathy took great pride in awards she won for swimming at the YMCA as a youth. As a parent, she was active on the PTA at school, Girl Scout leader, and very active at church. Kathy was a member of the Methodist Church ladies guild and the church choir. She was also involved in her community where she served as a member of the Lions Club in both Sheboygan and Whitewater. In her free time, Kathy enjoyed bird watching, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and watching old country-western TV shows. Kathy had a very happy family life. The family has many fond memories of vacations to the Wisconsin north woods, and other family vacations.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ken; three children, Scott (Lori) Johnson, Lisa (Scott) Stielow and Tracey (Corey) Riley; five grandchildren, Hillevi and Celia Johnson, Dustin and Kurt Stielow and McKenna Riley; one brother, John (Barb) Moore; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roger Moore.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 16 at Fountain Park United Methodist Church, 828 Erie Avenue, Sheboygan at 12 Noon with Rev. Warren Waddell presiding. A time of gathering and support will be from 10:30 AM until the time of the service. The family would like to thank Meadow View Nursing Home for all of their years of loving care and the staff at St. Nicholas Hospital for their care and support.
