Kathryn J. Bagemehl

Kathryn J. Bagemehl, 59, of Sheboygan, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at home, after a battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). She was born on October 9, 1965 to late Robert and Marcella (Werner) Hummitzsch in Sheboygan. 

Kathryn married Donald Bagemehl on June 2, 1984 in Virginia while he was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. She worked her whole career as a CNA. She worked at Sunny Ridge, Rocky Knoll and Sheboygan Senior Community through the years. She loved working as a CNA. Kathryn was very compassionate about taking care of her residents, she made an impact on so many of them. She made her residents feel loved. 

Her compassion did not end at work. Kathryn treated everyone she met with kindness. She was free spirited. Kathryn enjoyed grabbing a cup of coffee from Weather Center Café and taking walks with Miley and her sons; riding on Don’s Harley and listening to music. 

Kathryn loved her family – she was a devoted wife and mother. She has always supported her boys in every endeavor they pursued in life.  

She is survived by her husband Don of 40 years; three sons DJ, Justin and Lukas Bagemehl; three brothers, Richard (Lori), Michael and Kenny (Sue) Hummitzsch; one sister Patricia Soule; her golden retriever Miley; and other relatives and friends.  

A memorial service for Kathryn will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 1:00pm at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 8th St., Sheboygan. Relatives and friends can greet the family from 11:00am until the time of the service at 1:00pm.
