Kenneth Edward Beck, age 80, of Howards Grove, died Monday August 24, 2015 at St. Nicholas Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 28, 1934 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Sebastian and Marie (Stoiber) Beck. Ken was a 1952 graduate of North High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for two years. Ken was united in marriage to Myrtle Kuhn on May 2, 1959 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Ken was employed at the Vollrath Company many years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. Myrtle preceded him in death on January 7, 2011. Ken was a dedicated Brewers fan right up to the end. He enjoyed reading and going out to eat with his family and friends. Together with Myrtle, Ken enjoyed travelling, especially to Branson, MO. He also enjoyed spending time with his cherished companion, Harley the Shitzu. Surviving Ken are his three sons, Thomas (Laurie) of Niagara, WI John (Fiancé- Amanda) of Glenbeulah, WI and Michael of Sheboygan, two daughters; Jodi (Dan) Stange and Jennifer (Shawn) Stange, both of Howards Grove; two sisters-in-law, Joan Beck of Sheboygan and Karen Kuhn of Howards Grove, eight grandchildren; Stephanie, Kimberly and Tyler Beck, Erin and Brianna Stange, Steven and Brandon Beck and Taylor Stange. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Myrtle, Ken was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Nelson and Sophia Kuhn, a sister Mary Ann Andrews, a brother-in-law, Jack Andrews, and a brother Raymond Beck, as well as a niece and a nephew. A Funeral Service will be conducted for Ken on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 414 Millersville Avenue Howards Grove. Reverend Tom Unke, will officiate. Interment will be on Thursday at St. Paul's Cemetery in the town of Sheboygan Falls. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at St. Paul's. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ken's Name. The Beck family wished to express their thanks to the staff of 4th Floor at St. Nicholas Hospital and the caring staff of the ICU.
