Kenneth Klumb

Kenneth W. Klumb, 71, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, with his family at his side. Ken was born May 3, 1946 in Sheboygan to Harold and Lorraine (Kading) Klumb. He was a graduate of South High School Class of 1965. After graduating Ken proudly joined the US Army serving during Vietnam from 1965 to 1967, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Sharpshooter Rifle, Combat Infantryman Badge, Purple Heart, and a Bronze Star. He was previously married to Ruth Hilbelink, and on June 30, 2001 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Fenn. Ken worked for the Kohler Company retiring in 2011.
Ken had a strong faith, and was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. He was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, the Sheboygan VFW Post 9156 and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and gardening. He was very talented and created many stained-glass bowls, ornaments and other beautiful creations. His family was very important to him, he enjoyed spending time with them watching Packer games and traveling. Ken was also an excellent cook. He is going to be truly missed by all who knew him.
Ken is survived by his wife Kathleen, daughters; Deborah (Robert Jr.) Fenske, Tracy (David) Lisowe, and Tamara (Ryan) Koriath, five grandchildren; Ashley (Brad) Cox, Amanda (Alan) Johnson, Collin Lisowe, Shianna Mehre, Kaitlin and Isaiah Buchholz, 1 great grandson on the way, three brothers; Dennis (Denise) Klumb, Ron (Sue) Klumb and Rick (Laura) Klumb, he is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Eric and Ryan, and a brother Gary Klumb.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Rev. Jim Schulz officiating. Burial with Military Honor will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 4:00 PM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the VA, Our Saviors Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society in Ken's name.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the CNA's especially Diane, all the RN's especially; Jodie, Josh and Kathy, all the Paramedics at Sheboygan Fire Department Station 1 and Orange Cross, all the Doctors especially Dr. Johnson, Dr. Phalion, Dr. Ritt, Dr. Rana, and Dr. Kuttickat, and Discharge Planner Angela for all their care, and support.
