Lanette Kautzer

She went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Lanette was born December 28, 1948 in Waukesha, to the late Charles and Alice (Wicke) Lomatsch and graduated from Oostburg High School in 1967. In 1992 to 2010, she owned and operated a cleaning service, Partners in Grime, where she retired early due to her illness. On December 31, 2001, she married Edward Kautzer, Jr. and they resided in Sheboygan with family and friends. Lanette was a wonderful person with the most beautiful blue eyes that will be deeply missed. She enjoyed going to the movies and spending time with her family. She had the biggest heart anyone could have and each inch of it was filled with her love. Lanette may have been physically weak, but her family says she was the strongest person they will ever know. She is survived by her husband, Edward; her mother, Alice Lomatsch, Sheboygan Falls; her mother-in-law, Adella Kautzer, Sheboygan; her five children, Sellece Bates, Warrenville, SC, Nadina Bates, Columbia, SC, Tiffany (Brian) Ter Maat, Sheboygan Falls, Derrick (Amy Lyons) Bates, Modoc, SC, Brandy (Dirk Akright) Bates, Sheboygan; four stepsons, Clint Kautzer, Sheboygan, Mathew Kautzer, Kohler, Peter Kautzer and Andrew Kautzer, of Sheboygan. This also is including her 11 grandchildren, who had given her the nickname NaNa; Sheantae and Chaise Gottschalk, Kala (Brandon) Strurkie, Allayna Cabezas and Jayden Anderson, Kirsten (Paul) Pace, Clayton Ludwigson and Cortnie Ludwigson, Ethan and Evan Bates, Alizae Bates; five great-grandchildren, Marlee, Jane, Shakiera, Marquette and Malik; one older sister, Sharon (Lance) Hacker, Hingham, and two younger brothers, C. Terry Lomatsch, Madison and TJ (Kurt Brown) Lomatsch, Mequon. And of course, many nieces, nephews and cousins who were there by her side. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lomatsch and father-in-law, Edward Kautzer, Sr. A memorial service for Lanette will be held Friday, September 27, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove). Friends may call on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Nicholas Hospital/Hospice.
