Larry M. Herman, 58, of Elkhart Lake, lost his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Larry was born September 30, 1956, in Sheboygan, to Carol (Krimmel) Herman and the late Marvin L. Herman. He was employed by various large construction companies in Wisconsin as a concrete finisher. On April 5, 1976, he met the love of his life, Barbra Jo Phillips. They were later married. Larry was an avid sportsman and had a passion for the outdoors. He truly enjoyed fishing and especially his annual musky tournaments with his brother, Tim. Larry also enjoyed gardening and golfing. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Traci L. Augustine; two grandsons, Travis (Nicole) Augustine and Caleb Augustine; one great-grandson, Thomas Augustine; four siblings, Linda (Mike) Senkbeil, Daniel (Kathy) Herman, Gloria (Rich) Endres and Tim (Chris) Herman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. A funeral service will be held for Larry on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer (3027 Wilgus Avenue, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Bryan Osladil officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, at the church, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Lutheran Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you the 2nd floor staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center for the care and compassion shown to Larry. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Larry's name.
