Lawrence B. Meyer, 93, of Sheboygan, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at St. Nicholas Hospital. Larry was born October 18, 1927, in Sheboygan Falls, the son of Otto and May (Christnsen) Meyer. He attended local schools. Larry served in the United States Occupation Army in Japan, after World War II. In 1952 Larry was united in marriage to Nathaline Sizonen, at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Sheboygan. Nathaline preceded him in death in 2008, after 56 years of marriage. Larry worked 40 years at the Kohler Company, in the enamel warehouse.
He was a member of the Local 833 Union and supported the Union in 4 Kohler strikes. Larry was also a member of VFW Post 9156, and the Silver Eagle Club in Wausaukee for 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Brewers, and bull shitting with family and friends.
Larry is survived by one sister Shirley Hovland of Sprit Lake, IA and one brother Otto Meyer of Castle Rock, CO. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 1425 S. 10th St. Sheboygan, with Fr. Leo Gavrilos officiating. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 9:30 AM until the time of service at the CHURCH. At the church social distancing of 6ft will be observed, masks will be optional. The service will also be livestreamed and can be viewed on Larry’s obituary page.
