LeRoy Kuhlow

LeRoy W. Kuhlow, age 78, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, July 22, 2014 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He was born February 25, 1936 in Sheboygan Falls to Albert and Ella (Rautmann) Kuhlow. He was a graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School, Class of 1954. During the Korean Conflict he served his country in the US Army. On August 9, 1958 LeRoy and Emagene Hoffmann were united in marriage in Sheboygan Falls. LeRoy then entered barber college in Peoria, Illinois, after which he began his fifty three year career as owner of Kuhlow's Barber Shop. LeRoy was an active, faithful member of The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer where he served on multiple boards and committees. His interests included gardening and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Emagene, he is survived by his children, Duane (Rhonda) Kuhlow of Plymouth, Mary (Ted) Lange of Apopka, FL, and David (Margaret) Kuhlow of Silver Spring, MD; eight grandchildren, Tya (Cole) , Stefani, Parker, Vanessa, Katie, Michael, John, and Stephen; three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Dohnavyn, and Alexis; his sisters and brothers, Nelda Kaestner, Gerda Schellpfeffer, LuEllen Schellpfeffer, Ruben (Avril) Kuhlow, Willard (Jeanette) Kuhlow, Delores Wehmeier, LaVerne (Milton) Wippermann, Ann (Wayne) Grunwald, and Daniel (Harriet) Kuhlow; his brother-in-law, Tom Milhans; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Janet (Donald) Baumann and their family; his dear friends, Duane and Anita Timm and their family; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce; his brothers, Walter and Robert; and his sisters, Helena and Ruth. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Rev. Bryan Osladil and Rev. James Mallmann, will co-officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels Friday, July 25, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and at the church Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name for DaVita Dialysis Center in Sheboygan, Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, and the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. LeRoy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at DaVita Dialysis, the ICU at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Michael Brooks for their compassionate care.
