Linda Somers

Linda D. Somers, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 17, 2015, after a lifelong battle of Type 1 Diabetes. She was born October 16, 1956 in Sheboygan to Clarence and Genevieve (Pilling) Henrickson. She was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1974. As a child, she displayed a quiet, innocent nature "unless pushed too far", which could be seen by the many "Furry Little Friends" that helped her develop a love for nature. Linda was married in 1975. For thirty-seven years she was employed at J.L. French. Her love of gardening, painting, and crafting was only surpassed by her love for her children, grandchildren, and Chloe, (her constant companion everywhere she went). On August 19, 1980 she was gifted the first of her next true loves, her daughter, Shaunna and on July 23, 1983 her daughter, Melissa. Linda is survived by her two daughters, Shaunna Somers (Derek Schenk), Melissa (Curtiss) Harvey, grandchildren, Elisha Somers, Toby, Kourtnie, and Paige Bursinger, Lucas, Robyn, and Eryn Harvey; mother, Genevieve Henrickson; sisters, Gwynne Wensink, Karen (James) Henrickson-Bauer, Laurie (Rick) Hinz; brother, Mark (Terry) Henrickson; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Shannon; her father, Clarence Henrickson; her brothers, Alan, Clarence, and Robert Henrickson; and nephew, John Henrickson. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 2:00 PM. to 5:00 PM. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, 1201 N. 8th St., Sheboygan. The Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 PM with Rev. Giovanna Mattioni officiating. To all who knew her, she will always be remembered as, "The Mouse That Roared!"
