Lorraine A. Ziegler, 94, resident of Woodland Manor in Sheboygan Falls, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013. She was born October 17, 1918, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Mueller) Sukowatey. Lorraine attended Holy Name School in Sheboygan. Lorraine Sukowatey married George Ziegler on August 17, 1940 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Sheboygan. George preceded her in death on July 18, 1983. She was a home maker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Lorraine loved to sew and to knit and she created many beautiful needlepoint pictures. Lorraine is survived by three loving children, Richard (Kathleen) Ziegler, Grayslake, IL, Linda (Charles) Lesperance, Sheboygan Falls and Mary Brasted, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Kevin Ziegler, Nicole (Michael) Dizon, JR (Tammy) Lesperance and Kristine (Chad) Jones; eight great grandchildren, Jake and Liam Dizon, Amanda, Makayla and Davis Lesperance, Rebecca, Tyler and Courtney Jones; several nieces and nephews including dear nieces, Mary Jane Sukowatey and Judy (Dave) Resch and grand-nephew Brian Leffin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers, two sisters, one great-grandson, Andrew Lesperance, son-in-law, Earl Brasted and a dear niece, Karen Berken. Private funeral services will be held for Lorraine by her immediate family according to her wishes. Lorraine's family would like to thank the staff at Woodland Manor and Hospice Advantage for all their loving care over the last few years and especially the last week. They would also like to thank Lisa Olson for her friendship.
