Marcella Schorer

Marcella F. Schorer, age 96, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at Sheboygan Senior Community. She was born to parents Arthur and Meta (Trempe) Koeppen. She graduated Sheboygan High School in 1934. She married William Held in 1938 until his passing in 1971. She married Gilbert Schorer in 1975 until his passing in 1995. Marcella worked as a legal secretary and court reporter. She was a life-time member of First Congregational Church, where she was president of the Women's Fellowship. Marcella was past matron of Sheboygan Chapter 139 - Order of Eastern Star. Also a former member of Altrusa Club. Marcella is survived by her children; Carol Michaels, Jonathan (Donna) Held James (Kriss) Schorer, Faye (Tim) Grove and Carol Schorer. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son; Tom Schorer. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 11 AM at First Congregational U.C.C. (310 Bluff Ave., Sheboygan) with Pastor James Hollister presiding. Visitation at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Committal to follow at Wildwood Cemetery. Memorials in Marcella's name are appreciated to First Congregational Church.
