Marlyn M. Kaboord, 77, of Sheboygan, went home to her Savior late Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice after a brief illness. Marlyn was born November 24, 1936 in Sheboygan to Milton and Lila (Bagemehl) Kaems. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1955. On May 23, 1959 Marlyn and Joseph C. Kaboord were united in marriage at Immanuel Lutheran Church. For a number of years Marlyn was employed at Equitable Life Ins. Co. She was a faithful member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Marlyn was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed baking, gardening, and was also an accomplished seamstress. She loved cooking large quantities of food for her family gatherings. She was also an avid Chicago Cubs fan. In addition to her husband Joseph, Marlyn is survived by her children, Wayne (Barbara) Kaboord of Oregon, WI and Penny (Roger) Brotz of Franklin, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Jacob Kaboord, Jenna Brotz, Morgan Brotz, and Holly Kaboord; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory. Rev. Marcus H. Powers, Pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marlyn's name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Marlyn's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their kindness and care. Marlyn will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
