Mary Bowlin

Mary L. Bowlin, 68, of Elkhart Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at home. Mary was born December 25, 1947, in Sheboygan, to the late Lloyd and Esther (Bebermeier) Hitsman. She graduated from Howards Grove High School. Mary was employed by the Kohler Company for 34 years. On August 11, 1973, she married Floyd Bowlin in Friendship. Mary enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Leona and Lucille and collecting coins.
In addition to her husband, Floyd, she is survived by one son, Dave (Brenda) Pennings; one daughter, Debbie (Benny) Gibson; four grandchildren, Chad (Ellen) Pennings, Kayla Pennings, Travis Campbell and Traci Prater; five great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Ayden, Seth, Ethan and Ashlyn; five siblings, Harriet Spindler, Lucille Schuh, Barbara Goodrich, Duane (Betty) Hitsman and Ray (Nancy) Hitsman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Ernie Pennings two brothers and four sisters.
A funeral service for Mary will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Zimmers Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 JJ, Howards Grove) with the Rev. DuWayne Hanke officiating. Friends may call on Friday, at the funeral home, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
