Mary E. Dales, age 81, of Thiensville (formerly of Sheboygan), passed away Tuesday morning, June 9, 2015 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Mequon. She was born April 22, 1934 in Milwaukee to Raymond and Loraine (Herwig) Erbstoesser. Mary was a graduate of Sheboygan North High, Class of 1952. On February 19, 1953 Mary and Hugh Dales were united in marriage in Bakersfield, CA. while Hugh was serving in the US Navy. They made Sheboygan their home where they raised their family. Mary was employed at various businesses including Thomas Industries, Lake to Lake Dairy in Kiel, and US Bank in Brown Deer. Mary was a member of First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. She was a past president of the Sheboygan Service Club. Her hobbies included tennis, bridge club and her dominoes group. In addition to her devoted husband, Hugh, with whom she shared sixty-two years, she is survived by her children, Denise Dales of Menomonee Falls, Lisa (Tom) Boritzke of Brookfield, Julia (John Irino) Dales of Tempe, AZ, and Hugh (Sheri Heppe) Dales of Jackson, WI; six grandchildren who affectionately called her "Ommie", Andrea, Heather, Andy, Michael, Amy, and Kimberly; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Dales and her brother, Allan Erbstoesser. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2014 at First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ. Rev. James H. Hollister, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name for Alzheimer's Association or American Diabetes Association.
