Mary Fessler

Mary Ann Fessler, age 89, died at St. Nicholas Hospital on Tuesday, October 29, 2013. She was born October 4, 1924 to the late Edwin S. Fessler and Catherine (Altmeyer) Fessler. Mary Ann attended St. Clements Catholic School and graduated from Central High School in 1943. She worked for her father as a bookkeeper and typist until 1958 when she moved to Mesa, AZ with her parents. Mary Ann worked at the branch of Phoenix Title and Trust Co. until she returned to Sheboygan with her parents, due to her father's health in 1961. From 1961 to 1986, Mary Ann was employed at Security First National Bank (now U.S. Bank) at which time she retired at the age of 62 years. She enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and did some trips to Canada. Mary Ann was very active in playing sports and loved to dance when she was young. Watching tennis and football games was her enjoyment. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Mary Ann was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and three sisters-in-law and two godsons. Survivors are many wonderful, caring and loving nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside committal service for Mary Ann will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Calvary Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Widder officiating. In lieu of flowers, Mary Ann's wishes were to make a donation to the food pantry in her name.
