Mary Elizabeth Tershner, age 70, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Monday, July 7, 2014. She was born in Banbury, England on October 11, 1943 to parents Norman Foxall and Winifred (Bleach) Humphries. Mary met the love of her life Larry Tershner on a blind date in Banbury on February 28, 1961. They were united in marriage on November 24, 1962. Mary was a devoted Air Force wife for 21 years which allowed her and her family to experience traveling and living throughout Europe and the United States. Mary and her family reestablished roots in Sheboygan Falls in 1981. Mary was a loving and highly dedicated mother. She took great pride in raising her three children while also managing a busy house hold. For fun, Mary enjoyed her frequent trips to Las Vegas. She also loved taking road trips with family and friends to local casinos. Mary had a lifelong passion for Elvis Presley and fondly remembered her trips to Graceland. In her free time, she was often found gardening around her home or dining out with friends and family. Mary is survived by her loving husband Larry Sr., three children; Sheralee (Dennis Kolodziejski) Tershner, Michelle (Jack) Strege, and Larry Jr. (Crystel) Tershner; six grandchildren; Brittni and Ian Strege, Madigan Tershner-Kolodziejski, Hunter Thill, Kylie Tershner, and Addison Tershner; two brothers Fred and Peter Humphries; and three sisters; Margaret Davis, Ellen Holmes and Janet Akin. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives here and in England. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, her sister Winifred Alcroft, and her precious dog Sophie. A Gathering will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd, (Hwy 42 & JJ) on Sunday, July 13 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. A Time of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM.
