Maureen “Mo” Susan Ryan, 63, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Sheboygan, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 22, 2023 and is now at peace with her son and other angels.
She was born June 9, 1959 in Harvey, Illinois to the late Donald Edward Sr. and Muriel Joan (Melcher) Ryan. She grew up in Posen, Illinois as the 5th of 8 children and moved with her family to Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1974.
Maureen was proud of her long career as a respected operations manager for Bemis Manufacturing Company. She retired and moved to Florida in 2014.
She had a strong and generous spirit, which was evident in the way she lived her life, always caring for and helping anyone who needed it. Maureen was a giver to a fault. She never said no to those in need. Her zest for life kept her constantly busy, always on the go. She enjoyed taking trips, camping, driving her newest car, going out to lunch with her ladies' groups, shopping, comedy nights with her Oak Run community friends, and looking for the next great deal at the second hand and thrift stores.
Those who knew her will always remember her as Mo with the sparkling, and sometimes mischievous, sense of humor who enjoyed teasing people and being teased back. She loved making people smile and laugh. She enjoyed her ceramics classes and collecting colorful art. Maureen especially loved her dogs, Buddy and Jersey; pet goats, Curly, Larry, and Moe; and her chickens. Her animals were precious to her. She enjoyed their companionship and the unconditional love they gave her. She dreamed of a country farmer life.
Maureen cherished the friendships she had in the Sheboygan area, and made it a priority to keep in touch with those friends even after her retirement and move to Florida.
The most important people in her life were her beloved daughter, Tiffany R. Felde, and her adored grandson, Giovanni Santiago. She is also survived by her siblings who will miss her tremendously; Donald E. Ryan Jr. (Judy), Deborah Ryan (Tim Powell), Timothy Ryan, Kathleen Hoffman (Dave), John Ryan, Melissa Neese (Randal), and also by her sister-in-law Mary Ryan, uncle Robert Melcher (Pat), cousin Dan Bruns (Paula), Doug's fiance Genna, special friend Tom, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who are all diminished by her loss. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, son Douglas Felde, brother Bob Ryan, sister-in-law Eva Ryan, uncle Al Bruns, and aunt Lois Bruns.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 3rd, at 11:30 am at Ballhorn Chapel, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Ballhorn Chapel.
