Max L. Wilhite, 87, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. Max was born on March 2, 1928 in Antlers, OK to the late Wyatt and Marline (Sewell) Wilhite. He served honorably in the US Army being stationed in Korea, Germany and the United States from 1946 to 1966. On September 22, 1956 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Burnadette Burgess in Waukon, IA. Max enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors doing yardwork. He is survived by his son Jack (Cheryl) Wilhite of Sheboygan, daughter Judy (Pat) Crane of Sheboygan Falls, step-son Dale (Jo) Henry of Cecil, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, special friend Louella Sorenson of Sheboygan Falls, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Max was preceded in death by his wife of 46years Burnadette, step-daughter Linda Baer, grandson John Fish, and two sisters; Alma Dean Zenino and Katheryn Ford. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Zimmer - Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. Sheboygan, with Rev. DuWayne Hanke officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the FUNERAL HOME. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Max was a kind and gentle soul, generous to a fault. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was not only a father and grandfather, but a best friend. He will be loved and sadly missed.
